Add Support for Your Statements

Statement formats are supported individually. If yours is not listed, there are two ways to contribute: update the parser or send a redacted statement layout for review.

Contribute to the parser

Developers familiar with Rust can add statement parser definitions to the open-source library.

Share a redacted layout

You can send a text representation of a statement layout to help with parser development. The generated file may contain personal and financial information, so redact and review it before sharing. See the example layout file for reference.

  2. Open the generated file in a text editor and replace personal or financial details with fictional values, including:
    • Names
    • Account numbers
    • Transaction descriptions
    • Amounts
    • Balances
    • Addresses or other personal contact information
  3. To find text content among the layout coordinates, search in your editor using this regular expression:"([^"]*)"

  4. Email your redacted layout file to weberdk@pm.me.

    A submission may help with adding support, but cannot guarantee that a format will be implemented or provide an estimated timeframe. Do not send the original statement or an unredacted layout.

Before sharing a layout

Parser rules use text, patterns and positions in the layout. Replace private details while preserving the surrounding structure. The layout file is not automatically redacted; check the complete file before sending it.

  • Statement text: Leave standard, non-personal wording unchanged where possible.
  • Dates: Leave dates unchanged.
  • Text and names: Replace names, descriptions and other identifying text with dummy or fictional text, such as XXXXX XXXXX.
  • Account numbers: Replace the digits but preserve spaces in the number.
  • Amounts and balances: Replace the digits (for example, with 9,999) but preserve commas, minus signs, currency symbols and nearby text such as CR.
